Hi, I’m Elaine Bean a financial literacy advocate for students attending high school to ensure they receive the basics of personal finance management before graduating.
Teaching of personal finance management is lacking in schools due to funding, however, my goal is to help fill that gap by providing developed teaching resources that can be taught in the classroom.
In addition, the financial planners that I have created that will be used as a curriculum will be given to every student as a lifetime guiding tool on personal finance management.

Storehouse Ready: Preparing for Life’s Events Student Edition addresses financial literacy in the area of budgeting and savings. This Budgeting and Savings Planner provides a beginner’s guide to money management for students at the junior high, high school, or college level. The student will gain life skills in two important areas – budgeting and saving. The Planner provides a complete overview of essential household expenses if a student one day lives on their own and step-by-step instructions on creating their first budget. In addition, the student will have the financial tools that will be needed to prepare for a life’s event such as college, loss of job, marriage, and retirement.
Storehouse Ready: Preparing for Life’s Events Educator Edition is the instructional guide for teachers and parents for the Student Edition. It provides already prepared lesson plans to get started immediately. Teaching our youth money-management principles at an early age will provide them the life skills that will be needed as they become adults and live independently from their parent(s) or guardian(s). Some lesson plans will be: requirements for renting an apartment, buying your first car, understanding your first paycheck, understanding credit and insurance essentials. Parents will be able to learn and provide personal finance management in the home immediately. The instructional material is easy to follow.
